Laptops are used for many purpose both for personal, professional and for entertainment use. When we use laptop for personal and entertainment use then it mostly with some word processing software's or with some of the videos, music and some low end games or with some you tube videos and some flash files. Many used to play games on their laptops too. For games, music, movies and for some professional work we need DVD/CD drives for our work.
Problems with the components we use daily is usual things. When your DVD/CD doesn't respond to you when you insert a disk into it. It makes some sound when you insert a disk into it and after few mins there is no response from it, even when you click on DVD drive in the my computer. It loads and say Insert Disk into the drive. Here we list the possible solutions for the problem. Remember this solutions may work for someone or it may not work.
* Check the connections on the drive and some loose contact may result in problems like this
* Swap the drive with others and it may work on some others
* Try use different kind of the CD/DVD on that drive some of the CD/DVD may work or some of them may not work
* Try using a empty disk on that drive
If any of the above methods dint work and i may suggest you personally to check the condition of the drive in a service centre. I thought drive may not work any more. If you have warranty then consider asking for the replacement of the drive with the manufacturer or prepare to buy a new drive for your laptop.
