If you bought a faulty product you will claim the refund or
the replacement for the product but in digital market claiming refund for the
apps you purchased is a headache process. Many Developers and publishers are
willing to refund money to avoid getting bad impression. Getting refund for a
faulty app in play store has different ways. You request refund within 15 Minutes
of the purchase or Request Refund from the developers or you can Request Refund
from the Google.
15 Minutes from Purchase
If you purchase an App and you find it not functioning or
working as advertised and you plan to request a refund, do it quick you have
only 15 Minutes to claim your money back from the Google from the purchase of
the App. This information will be
displayed while you purchasing the app in play store.
Initially the time limit to request refund is 24hours till
December 2010 and it has been changed to 15 Minutes. This is to control the situation of
purchasing the game playing for 24 hours and requesting refund.
To claim refund within 15minutes locate the app in the play
store and click on the refund, the app will be removed from the phone and you
will be refunded. If the 15 Minutes Time Zone is expired you will see only
uninstall button. If you are busy in any other work or your network problem,
you can’t claim refund from the play store.
Refund from Developers
Google recommends you to contact the developers to claim
refund once the 15 Minutes Time Zone is crossed. Many developers won’t accept
refund for their digital product but some of the developers will process your
request if you prove that the app is faulty or it doesn’t work as advertised.
Developers do this to avoid getting bad impression from the buyers. Before
purchasing any App in play store it’s recommended to read the reviews given by
the other users to get a general idea about the functionality of the app. You

Refund from Google
In rare circumstances Google may refund you for the app you
purchased but it is a long sight better give a try to it. Some of you might get
refund for the proper description to the problem or fault you found in it.
Refund process is initiated by login into your Google play
store account and click on My Apps. You will see the full list of the applications.
Locate the application and move the cursor over the three
dots and click on report the problem
In the following window select “I’d like to request a
refund” in the drop down list and clearly specify the reason you requesting the
refund. It is a long sight process and it may take long time you may get reply
from the Google or you won’t.
